Purchase

Ignite Gallery is $40 (US Dollars). This includes 6 months of updates/ new versions and 6 months of support. The extension is released under the GPL v2 License. This license allows you to use the extension on as many sites as you choose, and to modify it to your liking. There is no encryption or activation code in GPL licensed software, so the extension does not have a time limit on how long it works. The six month limit is a limit on how long you can log in to the site and download updates/ new versions, and how long you can submit support requests.

Future plans for Ignite Gallery

Version 2.1 will have:

2.1 is going to be a "Minor improvement and code clean up" release. Versions 1.5 and 2.0 (both released this year) added in a lot of new features (categories/ ratings/ comments/ slideshow/ front-end uploads). Now it’s time to rewrite a lot of the PHP and Javascript, so it is organised more logically, and is easier to modify. I am planning to put the following minor improvements in 2.1 as well:

  • Replace the zip uploader with a multiple image uploader, that can be used in the front-end and backend.
  • Option to re-order the images by filename after multiple images have been added.
  • Add in imagemagick support so transparent PNG and GIF files are supported.
  • Make it possible to bookmark individual images
  • Allow individual thumbnails to have different width/heights
  • Add in more friendly sef urls for Joomla and sh404sef, so both the category and gallery names are put in.

As a rough estimate, 2.1 will be released in August. Version 2.2 will probably have watermarking in it, and possibly image tagging and a search function.

If you can think of a feature that you would like in Ignite Gallery, You can make a post in the "Feature Request" section of the support forum.
