Plugin Demo:
The plugin puts a one or more galleries into a Joomla article.

This is the image description, it can be set top top/ bottom/ left or right of the image. You can use Joomla's editor to add in Color or Links (any html including images).

Trial Version

A trial version is now available from the downloads section. In the trial version, the frontend gallery will display all images, but only the first 3 thumbnails will work. Otherwise everything is the same. If you purchase, you can apply a patch to upgrade the trial to full, all data will be kept when you upgrade.

Ignite Gallery is $40 (US Dollars). This includes 6 months of updates/ new versions and 6 months of support. The extension is released under the GPL v2 License. This license allows you to use the extension on as many sites as you choose, and to modify it to your liking. There is no encryption or activation code in GPL licensed software, so the extension does not have a time limit on how long it works. The six month limit is a limit on how long you can log in to the site and download updates/ new versions.

*Currently all subscribers have access to the support forum, no matter how old the subscription is, but access to updates is restricted after 6 months. The support system has always been like this, and there are no plans to change it. We still advertise support as 6 months, as it’s possible we could change subscription plans in the future, and we don’t want to make any ‘Lifetime Support’ promises we can’t keep.

Future plans for Ignite Gallery

Version 2.6 for Joomla 1.6 will be progressively released and bugfixed over the next 4 weeks. Currently the component and plugin are available for subscribers to download. Version 2.6 for Joomla 1.6 will have the same features as Version 2.6 for Joomla 1.5. The only difference is it works in Joomla 1.6, and uses the Joomla 1.6 Access Control System in the backend.

Work on 2.7 for Joomla 1.5 has begun, we are planning the following features:

  • The ability to tag people like Facebook.
  • Jcomments and Jomcomment integration.
  • Guest ratings option
  • Rounded corners option
  • Bookmarkable urls for individual images

It is likely 2.7 will be released at the end of September.
